Wow! What a [period of time] it’s been, huh? Anywho, I'm sure you're wondering what I’ve been up to since I last infodumped to you about my hyperfixation at the time. Good news! That's what this letter is for!
I bought a pair of clippers and cut my own hair for the first time! It was very bad and I had to wear a hat to work the next two days before Shelby salvaged a decent haircut from what was left of my unevenly shorn locks. Thanks Shelby!
Oh yeah! At the time, I was still working as the Outdoor Environment teacher and a supporting staff member at Adobe Montessori Preschool in Tempe. I started that job in July 2019.
A TikTok I made of Sammy’s vet visit got decently popular and went straight to my head, as evidenced by my inclusion of that event in this letter.
My older sister, Britt, and her husband had their first baby (and my FIRST nibling (a gender-neutral term for niece and nephew))! His name is Harrison and if anything happened to him, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself
After a lot of deliberation, I made the difficult decision to quit my job at Adobe Montessori, with my last day being March 6th, right before their Spring Break
OH U KNO
I got into painting again and worked on a sunflower piece that’s, uh, still unfinished, but I really enjoyed working with color and light and just trying things out
Sammy turned 9 years old!
I started going to therapy again ✌️ self-care, y’all
Memorial Day marked the one-year anniversary of moving into my current apartment
(from “survivin’” by Bastille)
I started meeting with an ADHD coach! It was an incredible experience, and I would recommend it to anyone with ADHD who has plateaued in their current course of treatment (mine being talk therapy)
On the 28th, I turned 24! Wowza!!!
After six months of unemployment, I got a job! I started working with my Aunt Hattie for a small business that sells baby clothes. They buy ‘em wholesale from manufacturers in China, fix ‘em up, and then package and resell ‘em.
